Dr. Thomas Yearwood, MD, PhD, is an interventional Pain Medicine specialist and world renowned thought leader in spinal cord stimulation and other implantable neuromodulation devices.
He has published book chapters and original research papers in neurostimulation, and has been involved in numerous medical device clinical trials. He is a noted speaker for neurostimulation, and has been a consultant for medical device manufacturers for over 20 years.
Dr. Yearwood has a PhD in Mechanical Engineering (Biomechanics) and is board certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine. He is a consultant at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital, where he implants SCS systems as a primary therapy. Dr. Yearwood was instrumental in helping Meagan Medical secure the SCS-IFC patent.

Dr Stephen Ward has been a consultant in Pain Medicine since 2000 and is currently a consultant in Pain Medicine at Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospitals, London (Centre for Pain and Neuromodulation) where he leads a combined spinal surgery and pain specialist clinic.
Dr Ward was Chair of the NICE Guideline on Low Back Pain and Sciatica published in 2016, Chair of the NICE Guideline on Rheumatoid Arthritis (2018) and Chair of the NICE Guideline on Epilepsy (in progress).
He Chaired the National Pain Audit and is a specialist advisor to NICE for their Interventional Procedures Programme as well as a member of the NICE Expert Advisers Committee.
Dr Ward’s specialist interest is the management of spinal pain and he sees approximately 1000 new patients a year in the NHS and private sectors and performs over 1000 interventional pain relief procedures a year.
Dr Ward is currently studying towards a Master’s degree in medical statistics at Oxford University.
